Baby Clothesline

Terms of use

For “Baby Clothesline: What to Wear” · effective 9 October 2026

What the app is

Clothesline suggests clothing layers for a baby from a weather forecast, the way you travel and the baby's age, and a sleeping bag for the room temperature at night. The suggestions are rules of thumb drawn from public guidance (NHS, The Lullaby Trust, American Academy of Pediatrics). They are not medical advice and cannot see your baby.

You stay the judge

Check your baby's neck or tummy: warm and dry is right, sweaty means too warm, cool means add a layer. Premature babies, babies who are unwell and babies with medical conditions may need different care — follow what your doctor, midwife or health visitor tells you. In an emergency call your local emergency number.

The forecast can be wrong

Weather data comes from MET Norway and is used as delivered. Forecasts change and can miss local conditions; without a connection the app may not be able to fetch one. Look out of the window too.

Ads and the purchase

The free version shows one banner ad. “Remove ads” is a one-time, non-consumable purchase sold through the App Store or Google Play; their terms apply to the payment, refunds and family sharing. It removes the banner and changes nothing else. On a new phone, use Restore an earlier purchase in Settings with the same store account.

Licence

You may use the app for your own family. The drawings, texts and code belong to Adrina Software. Weather data © MET Norway and town data © GeoNames, both under CC BY 4.0. For apps installed from the App Store, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies.

Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. For slight negligence we are liable only for breach of an essential obligation, limited to the damage typical and foreseeable for this kind of app. Mandatory consumer law in your country is not affected.

Law

German law applies, except where the law of your country of residence gives you stronger protection as a consumer.
